April 18

RESCHEDULED JUMBLE SALE - SATURDAY 5TH MAY at 11am. Sorry we had to cancel in March. Hadn't anticipated Storm Emma or Beast from the East. Even the most ardent jumbler would probably have balked at wading through snowdrifts. Usual time of 2pm Friday and from 9am Saturday for donations. There is a raffle, refreshments and our fundraising Local Views 2018 slimline calendar will be available. So come, come one and all and start Christmas in Dundry Hall.

We did manage a lovely February meeting before Winter arrived with Sue Hagogiving us a very interesting talk and slide show on the history of the Royal London Hospital which was outstanding in pioneering medicine and still a forerunner in medical knowledge today.

Our 18th April meeting sees us delving into history again and this time Reginald King will be telling us about 'The History and Mystery of Rolling Pins'. Perhaps they were once used as a secret kitchen utensil to deal with annoying husbands? I was presented with one on my wedding day! With no surprise, there is a competition for 'An Old Rolling Pin'. Come if you're interested.

Wednesday, 18th April. Dundry WI AGM meeting at 7.30pm in Dundry Village Hall. Speaker Reginald King on 'The History and Mystery of Rolling Pins'. Competition of 'Old Rolling Pin'. Saturday, 5th May. WI Jumble Sale at 11am in Dundry Village Hall.
